Domestic care worker grant

OBJECTIVE OF THE MEASURE 
This is a non-repayable grant intended to support the expenses associated with employing a domestic care worker under a formal employment contract.

ELIGIBILITY
The applicant for the benefit is always the contract holder, who can be:

  • the care recipient, in which case the care recipient submits the application, and the relevant ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator) is their own. Alternatively, a family member may apply on behalf of the care recipient who holds the contract but is unable to submit the application (the relevant ISEE is that of the care recipient); 
  • a family member, whether cohabiting or not, in which case the relevant ISEE is that of the family member. The family member may also serve as a legal guardian/trustee; 
  • a legal guardian/trustee who is not a family member, in which case the relevant ISEE is that of the care recipient.

The eligibility criteria pertaining to the contract holder are: 

  • an ISEE equal to or less than €35,000.00;
  • a valid, duly registered employment contract, signed with a Family Assistant enrolled in one or more territorial registers maintained by the Territorial Authorities and compliant with the provisions of Article 7 of Regional Law 15/2015 for each assistant who may alternate in providing care.

TYPE AND CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ASSISTANCE
The grant awarded may not exceed the maximum amount specified in the call for applications for each ISEE bracket. If the expenses actually incurred are lower than the grant stipulated in the call, it will nevertheless be calculated based on 60% of these expenses.

  • ISEE <= €25,000.00: maximum allowable grant, not exceeding 60% of the expenses actually incurred for the remuneration of the family assistant, equal to €2,400.00; 
  • ISEE > €25,000.00 and <= €35,000.00: maximum allowable grant, not exceeding 60% of the expenses actually incurred for the remuneration of the family assistant, equal to €2,000.00.

MODE OF ACCESS
Applications must be submitted by applicants exclusively in electronic form via the Online Grants portal at www.bandi.regione.lombardia.it. Applications can be submitted after authentication on the Online Grants portal through (alternatively):

  • SPID – Public Digital Identity System;
  • CNS – National Services Card/CRS – Regional Services Card and PIN;
  • CIE Electronic Identity Card.
